Biography:

Dr. Quentin Johnson is a postdoctoral researcher for the National Institute for Mathematical and Biological Synthesis. Quentin received his B.S. and M.S. in chemistry and computational chemistry, respectively, under the guidance of Dr. Donald Hamelberg. He completed his Ph.D. at the University of Tennessee under the advisement of Dr. Tongye Shen, where he worked on elucidating the conformational switching mechanisms of sensing proteins. Currently he is working on understanding how carotenoids effect lipid bilayers.
